Tags are a way to group content together in Content Catalog using metadata. You can look at tags as a way to contextualize your content in the way people work. Each piece of content can be assigned multiple tags, which makes it easier for users to find content in multiple ways.

In the example below, you’ll see that this Sofa has the tags “Lobby,” “Office” “Residential,” “Div. 12 5250 – Upholstered Furniture,” and more. From here, you can click on a tag to find all content with the same tag.

You can include tags in your search in two ways. First, is to just type it in the search and ensure the default Search Field, Tags is checked. Your results will even highlight where they find the words in search to help you understand why each result appears.

For a more narrowed search, you could first search for sofa and narrow with a filter like the tag Office by clicking on it where you see it in the results.

You can also search for tags when selecting filters as seen below

Once a filter is in use, if you need to add more tags note that you can click on the pill that shows below search to add or remove more. By default, you will only see what is selected. To Show All click on the Eye icon in the top right corner. Then begin typing in the search at the top to narrow results for this filter selection.
